The Sun has been known for its quality real ales for many years. We always try to have Best, Mild and a Premium ale on at all times then we compliment these with guest ales.
Hobsons Best – The pale brown to amber medium bodied beer has a strong hop character. It’s a bitter but with unconventional warm tones of malt that lingers on the palette, the complex malty flavours gives richness, balanced by the clean hoppy finish. A good session bitter brewed with local British hops picked from the farm seven miles down the road in Worcestershire – Fuggles, Goldings, Challenger and Progress. 3.8%
Hobsons Champion Mild – Hobsons Mild is brewed in the style of a traditional dark coloured Mild ale, using Maris Otter malting barley, pale chocolate malt and crystal malt and British variety hops Fuggles and Goldings from Worcestershire. 3.2%
*Ludlow Brewery Stairway – Stairway has a honey gold complexion with a grassy, citrus floral aroma. It has a sharp, sweet, full bodied taste. 5%
We regularly alter our guest ales with beers from local breweries such as – Hobsons, Ludlow Brewery, Wye Valley etc

Ai Galera ‘Mistico’, PORTUGAL
Golden yellow in colour, with plenty of ripe fruits on the aromas. This is a fresh and gentle wine with a pleasant finish.
Pinot Grigio / Trebbiano, ITALY
A medium straw yellow colour. Fresh and fruity with a slight floral note on the nose. Fresh and balanced, soft and round with fresh fruit and citric notes.
San Abello Sauvignon Blanc, CHILE
This dry and crisp wine has fresh tropical fruit aromas and flavours of gooseberry and lime with grassy, herbaceous notes.
Ai Galero ‘Poetica’, PORTUGAL
An intense ruby red colour. Vinous and clean aroma’s with hints of red berry fruits. Round in the mouth and medium bodied. A well rounded finish with mellow tannin.
Calusari Pinot Noir, ROMANIA
Light, soft and welcoming nose of autumn fruits. Soft smooth & spicy flavours throughout with generous soft red fruit flavours & a lovely elegant finish.
San Abello Merlot, CHILE
Intense aromas and flavours of ripe plums and sweet spice, with subtle notes of cinnamon, coffee and dark chocolate. Medium-bodied with a soft and smooth mouth feel.
Wandering Bear Rosé, SOUTH AFRICA
Notes of black cherry on the nose, with a palate chocked full of raspberry and watermelon fruit flavours. It’s a juicy wine, yet light and refreshing on the finish.
Calusari Pinot Grigio Rosé, ROMANIA
A pale pink colour. Dry, fruity in the mouth with crisp acidity. Light bodied and with a caramel and slightly peppery finish.
Prosecco ”Corzetti”, ITALY
This sparkling wine is pale, golden straw in colour. Bubbles are full textured and persistent. Fruity and fragrant with clean notes of citrus, pears and apples along with slight hints of hawthorn, wisteria and elderflower.

HOUSE of ELRICK – Our hand crafted, artisan gin is one of the finest available. Botanicals hand-picked by our Master of Gin are a complement of juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root and citrus peel, built around a core of heather, pink peppercorns, sweet fennel and rose petals. As refreshing as it is aromatic, it is the only spirit made with the freshest water from Loch Ness 42%
Da Mhile Seaweed Gin – our Seaweed Gin is made with a hand selected variant of botanicals added to our small batch gin. Designed to complement seafood it is infused with handpicked seaweed from the Celtic coast for three weeks, giving it a lovely light green hue before being triple filtered and bottled. 42%
Herno Old Tom – Winners of “The best gin in the world” along with a list of other awards. From the Swedish Hernö distillers comes a sweet, lip-smacking Old Tom Gin. They use the same botanical selection as their Hernö Dry Gin for this, although they’ve dialled up the amount of meadowsweet used. After distillation, they add a touch of honey and sugar, giving it the classic sweetness you look for in a traditional Old Tom Gin. 43%
Hendrick’s -Quirky producer Hendricks make their pot-still distilled gin using cucumber as one of the primary botanicals. This makes for a unique, tasty and incredibly refreshing Gin. 41.4%
Monkey 47 – An unusual gin from the Black Forest in Germany, Monkey 47 contains a unique ingredient – Cranberries! The 47 comes from the number of botanicals that go into this unique gin 47%
Sly Gin Lemon Verbena – Sly Gin is created by hand in incredibly small batches using herbs from our Herefordshire garden combined with traditional botanicals and craftily distilled in grain spirit at low temperatures to capture all the bright fresh flavours. It’s finally blended with naturally pure Holywell Malvern spring water to create a very special gin. Warming and spicy with very delicate citrus on the nose, beautifully aromatic with the lemon verbena coming through on the finish, delicious. 43%
Sly Gin Pink Grapefruit – A genuinely small batch distillation by Alex and Duncan Fox using cool temperatures to preserve the botanicals producing a very rounded smooth spirit with bright flavours. 43%
Warner Edwards Victoria’s Rhubarb Gin – The rhubarb juice is extracted using a traditional fruit press and blended with our Harrington Dry Gin to produce an alluring pink gin that is voluptuous on the palate with a sweet and tangy royal rhubarb explosion. 40%
Tanqueray London Dry Gin – Fortune favours the brave. Back in the 1830´s Charles Tanqueray wasn’t afraid to mix his bold ideas. His ingenious pursuit for perfection paid off, creating Tanqueray London Dry, a perfectly balanced gin and one of the most awarded gins in the world. 43.1%
Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla – a unique distilled gin made with bittersweet Seville oranges, orange blossom, natural colour and flavours as well as other fine botanicals. It delivers a fruity and zesty taste, balanced with the 4 botanicals of our classic London Dry gin. 41.3%

Hereford Dry Gin – Revived by Tanners in 1983, this gin is traditionally double distilled and bottled at the full 40% vol which helps the botanicals to express themselves. Wonderfully crisp and clean with well-defined juniper character and a citrus edge. 40%
Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb And Ginger Liqueur – Spring-crop rhubarb and Oriental ginger marry to create a liqueur that promises lively sweetness, sharpness and spice on the nose and palate, with a lingering warm finish. 20%
